The Union of Vocational Training Establishments (ZZDZ) is an association of educational and scientific-technical associations bringing together 21 Vocational Training Establishments (ZDZ), which form the most extensive network of non-public educational institutions in the country.
The educational activity of the ZDZ Association is carried out in many areas: education in course forms - 100 thousand people per year, education of children, young people and adults in school forms - 233 schools for 25 thousand students, practical vocational training in workshops and workshops - about 10 thousand people per year, education in higher education - more than 100 students and education in two Industry Skills Centres - several hundred students per year.
Of particular importance for the ZDZ in the implementation of the course educational offer is practical training, preparing to the needs of the labour market and social expectations, based on the latest technological trends.
The ZDZ has many years of experience in the training of welders, which is carried out on the basis of curricula approved by the Łukasiewicz - Upper Silesian Technological Institute, Welding Centre, in modern welding shops equipped with high-quality equipment. In the last two years alone, almost 13,000 people have taken part in welding courses, and our Examination Boards have awarded more than 17,000 welding qualifications.
Within the structures of the ZDZ Union, the Central Welding Commission (CKS), established in 1959, has also been operating for 66 years, as a social advisory body in matters of welders' training, initiating activities ensuring high quality of training and examination. Its members include representatives of: the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Upper Silesian Technological Institute, the Welding Centre, the Office of Technical Inspection, lecturers and instructors of welders' training, as well as organisers of the welders' training process from the ZDZ.
