During the event, visitors could use not only of moderated networking, but also of the rich educational offer implemented in the form of the International Welding Industry Conference. Three panels were held as part of it. During the Welding Industry Seminar, the topics discussed included automation and robotization of welding processes, requirements for manufacturers of welded metal structures, welding of cylindrical electric cells using the ultracompression method, and selected corrosion problems of welded joints of austenitic steels.

Additionally, it was possible to learn about the application of artificial intelligence in the welding industry thanks to the “AI in the welding industry” conference and listen to the exhibitors’ presentations. MASZYNY-POLSKIE.PL presented the topic “Laser welding – high quality and technological requirements”, and Jakub Szewczyk “ZUS subsidies – how to prepare and settle a subsidy for the metalworking industry”.

Weld Tech: Medal ceremony and interviews in the Trade Fair Studio

On September 3-5, 2024, the Ptak Warsaw Expo hosts Weld Tech, bringing together leading representatives of the welding industry from Poland and abroad. This is an excellent opportunity to present the latest technologies and innovations that are shaping the future of this rapidly growing field.

One of the key elements of this year’s fair was a series of debates on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the welding industry. These debates were well attended and moderated by Marta Rodzik of Quantum Media Group. The discussants, who included experts from various industry sectors, addressed topics related to the automation of welding processes, production optimization and the impact of AI on occupational safety. During the debates, it was emphasized that artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize the welding industry, contributing to increased production efficiency and quality.

The fair also included the presentation of medals and diplomas to companies that distinguished themselves in the market with their innovative solutions. Awards were given in four categories: trade fair product, trade fair display, innovation and trade fair premiere.

In the trade fair product category, the awards went to Polskie Maszyny and Expera.

For innovation, the awards went to CNC Group and CNC Machinery Center.

The award for fair exposition can boast the Uni-Kat company.

The award in the trade fair premiere category went to Stigal.

In addition, in support of the development of new technologies, grants worth 10 thousand zlotys were awarded for the implementation of a neural network – AI in business – from Quantum Neuron, with the aim of further innovation in the industry.

A group of journalists from Quantum Media Group present at the fair also recorded video interviews with representatives of the awarded companies. These interviews provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about the strategies and visions of the companies that are shaping the future of the welding industry.

Weld Tech 2024 is not only a review of technological innovations, but also a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences that will have a significant impact on the further development of the welding industry.
